Ms. Joan McCormack
|
Joan McCormack started as a teacher of Drama French and History in Tokyo in 1981, and moved from this into English language teaching. As well as Japan, she has worked in Peru, Spain and more recently in Australia. She is currently working at the University of Reading, as and EAP lecturer and Course Director, and also runs the self access centre for language learning. Her main EAP interests are developing extended writing skills and developing learner autonomy, and co-authored Garnet Education's English for Academic Study Series: Extended Research and Writing Skills and Speaking.

Mr. Adrian Underhill
|
Adrian Underhill works as a consultant to schools on professional and organisational learning, and as a teacher trainer. He is author of Sound Foundations: Learning and Teaching Pronunciation, and Series Editor of the Macmillan Books for Teachers. He is a past-president of IATEFL (the International Association for Teachers of English as a Foreign Language), and founder of the IATEFL Teacher Development Group in 1984. Adrian is an improvising musician and organic gardener.

Dr. Susan Barduhn

Dr. Susan Barduhn is a Professor at the SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont. She is the Academic Chair of the Summer MAT program, and the Program Director of SIT’s Teacher Training and Professional Development Institute Her experience includes English and Spanish language teaching, teacher training, supervision, management, program assessment and consulting. She has worked for extended periods in Kenya, Britain, Switzerland, Colombia, Spain and Portugal. Professor Barduhn is a past president of IATEFL (the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language); the former director of the Language Center, Nairobi; and was deputy director of International House, London. Her areas of interest and research are teacher thinking, teacher trainer development and intercultural communication for language teachers.
